Welcome to the Heritage Quilter’s website.
The Guild is a non-profit organization formed in 1976 after a group of quilters got together to make a fundraising raffle quilt for the renovation of the Lake County Court House in Crown Point, Indiana. They tried to keep the heritage alive in the historic Court House and increase awareness of and support of the art of quilt making.
The Guild is committed to its members and other organizations within our communities. The Guild is always striving to achieve the Guild’s yearly goals while encouraging the aspirations of our individual quilt makers, artists and crafts people.
The Guild holds meetings in Crown Point, Indiana, but has members from all over Northwest Indiana and Northeast Illinois. Our 150+ members are uniquely talented and creative. We have beginners to award winners; the young of age to the young at heart; traditional quilt makers to fabric artists.
The Guild welcomes new members and guests at anytime. We have something for everyone.
